The release entry answers when county control changed and whether the event was a transfer. The absence of an app does not mean the Grenada County Adult Detention Center lacks an image record. It means the verified access route is the custodian request. MDOC Grenada County Release Photos
The official MDOC Inmate Search displays an image on an inmate detail profile. Search by name or MDOC ID and compare the identifier, conviction county, sentence data, and current location. Results also show ID Number, name, location, term, and offense. The profile's photograph is an MDOC identification image, not necessarily the booking photograph created by the Grenada County jail.

The image helps identify the correct state portal, but the portal is organized around current MDOC records. Research did not verify a historical released-offender toggle or actual-discharge field. A fully released person may no longer appear.
MDOC's exact prospective label is “Tentative Release.” It is not an actual release date. A county detainee who posted bond and never entered state custody falls outside this search. When an MDOC image or record is needed after it disappears from the current tool, use the agency's public-record route and request the existing identification photograph plus the actual release or discharge record.
Grenada County Specialized Photo Sources
Mississippi SAVIN/VINELink is a custody-event and notification system for participating county jails and MDOC. Its photo presentation depends on the live interface, so no photograph should be promised. Use the person's name or offered booking or offender identifier, choose the correct reporting agency, and read the event label. A release event does not authenticate a separate image from another source.
The Mississippi Sex Offender Registry displays a photograph, aliases, primary residence, conviction date, and offense for qualifying registrants. It covers only that legal population and is not a general Grenada County mugshot list. Registry presence cannot prove present custody. DPS also cautions that conclusive identity can require fingerprint comparison, which is important when names or photographs appear similar.

Grenada County News Photo Pitfall
